Turmeric You've Never Had Before

WHAT’S SPECIAL IN OUR TURMERIC

PRAGATI TURMERIC

We are best at growing turmeric - bright, zesty and deeply floral. the aroma is swoonworthy- rich, vibrant and fragrant with bright almost citrusy notes. The taste is earthy, deep and concentrated with delicate floral and orange flavors. This not only tastes good, it is also high in curcumin ( 4-5%) which is almost two times higher than the commercially available turmeric. The presence of curcumin gives it the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Hi, I’m Simone.

Trumeric’s journey is a story with a sweet start. It took me almost a year of research to put everything in place so that I can deliver something authentic and traditional. It was always at the back of my mind that the food we eat should be a health bliss and should not be adding up to our medical bills. Turmeric – the golden spice is the best antioxidant and helps in improving immunity, and I thought why not work on growing this using ethical practices.

The turmeric we currently get from the market in powdered form is not pure and misses the right percentage of curcumin which is an important ingredient in turmeric and is responsible for the health benefits. since curcumin is so precious it is usually extracted from turmeric and exported for use in food and pharma industries. Most often the common man ends up getting left over turmeric after extraction and over processing. Such turmeric contains just 2% or most times nil curcumin, which makes it just a residue with no health benefits at all. While we get carried away by the low price of the product, we fail to notice if the product is natural and wholesome. Good health is a lifelong investment for a family’s well-being. Paying a slightly higher price for assured nutrition and disease prevention is better than ending up with health complications by using cheap turmeric.

TURMERIC: THE SUPER SPICE - A Boon To Your Health

What is turmeric good for ?

The active ingredient in turmeric is a natural compound (polyphenol) called curcumin, which has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. “Curcumin has many biological activities, not all of which are understood,”. “Like other colorful plant-based foods, turmeric is rich in phytonutrients that may protect the body by neutralizing free radicals (pollution, sunlight) and shielding the cells from damage.” Diets rich in plant-based foods are associated with prevention of medical conditions such as cancer and heart disease. “Anyone who’s trying to manage inflammation could benefit from adding some turmeric to their foods.” Used in many inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and other joint disorders, colitis, allergies and infections.

Ever checked if your turmeric pack mentions curcumin ?

If you thought turmeric is just a seasoning ingredient and all turmeric is the same, you are wrong. Only pure turmeric with curcumin, its natural component, can help in maximising health benefits. Majority of turmeric available in the market is ripped off from its main component curcumin. Wondering what curcumin is? TURMERIC IS POWERLESS WITHOUT CURCUMIN – Naturesbox It is the main element that gives turmeric its vibrant orangish yellow colour and powerful medicinal properties. Since curcumin is so precious it is usually extracted from turmeric and exported for use in food and pharma industries. And most often the common man ends up getting left over turmeric after extraction and over-processing. Such turmeric contains just 2% or most times nil curcumin, which makes it just a residue with no health benefits at all. EASY WAYS TO CHECK TURMERIC PURITY

Beware of adulterants: According to a bulletin on American Botanical Council, Metanil yellow is a synthetic food colour and additive which has been used as a turmeric adulterant as it resembles the colour of curcumin. Turmeric can also be diluted with yellow soapstone powder. The Bureau of Indian Standards suggests a minimum of 3% curcumin for powdered turmeric. Despite regulations in place, the quality of turmeric varies due to unhealthy practices adopted by unscrupulous traders. Turmeric purity test: While the detection of adulteration might not be an easy task, there are certain effective methods to determine the purity of turmeric. Check for aroma: While genuine turmeric has a mild earthy aroma, the impure one has no such aroma.

"almost perfect"

the only thing preventing a perfect review is the amount of black pepper in the latte recipe. Still me and my wife agree that this is the best mix we’ve ever had and are looking forward to enjoying more in the future.

"The best spices I've ever had."

I'm no culinary expert, I just like to cook. With that being said, this turmeric has been the best turmeric I've tried. It taste less like powders and more like rich, fresh foods. The smells and flavors have been a real treat. I love everything trumeric stands for, and I will be back for more. :)
